The 2021 Audi Q5 Sportback was revealed late on Friday. Audi is on the verge of expanding its SUV lineup with a sportier version of the Q5 that is however set to be put on sale in the first half of 2021.

Just as the saying goes “Consumer is the king”, so automakers are making utmost sure that their SV buyers get what they want. Buyers who desire that the Adi Q5 with a sloping line will be able to get what they want. This actual Q5 is the same Q5 that you know of but with a more dramatic and impressive look.
The company is however adding more Sportback variants with the E-Tron and Q4 concept.
The Sportback name indicates a coupe-like roofline ending in a backlift, Just as opposed to the more upright tailgates which were traditionally found on SUVs. It gives it an additional style by creating a more dynamic profile. It now lacks storage space at the back due to the additional sleek design given to it.
Audi’s first SUV Sportback was the compact Q3 Sportback, and it made its arrival last year but isn’t sold in the United States. Adi Q5 will be able to reach local showrooms in the middle of 2021 just as stated above.
2021 Audi Q5 Sportback Powertrain
This 2021 Audi Q5 Sportback will feature the same 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine which makes 261 hp and torque of 23 lb-ft that is found in the Q5. The 2.0-liter will however be mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission. The car will route power to all four wheels with the Audi Quattro system.
Audi says that a plug-in hybrid powertrain will not be offered on the Sportback model in the United States, as the standard Q5.
Q5 Sportback Design
The car is updated with unique features like the standard LED headlights and OLED taillights. The significant feature that made the Q5 Sportback unique is the sleek sloping roof. The roof starts its downward slope early and goes into a panel at the rear by a subtle spoiler. While a second main spoiler is at the top of the rear windshield.
The S-line exterior will come as standard in the United States. The OLED taillight design which is on the Q5 Sportback is quite different from which is on the standard Q5. Among all the changes and effects made on the car, the biggest and most notable difference is the roofline. But adding that roofline puts an additional cost on the storage space.
Interior Design and Measurement
The front of the cabin lies an uncluttered dash with an available 12.3-inch digital instrument display, and a 10.1-inch infotainment display. and the head-up display is all standard. The Sportback’s infotainment screen can be controlled in three different ways. It can be controlled either by making use of the screen, voice control, or steering wheel.
The Sportsback comes with a lot of electronic driver-assist features. Some of these features are for safety purposes, while others are for efficiency.
The Q5 Sportback is 0.3 inches longer than the regular Q5. It measures 15.4 feet in length. When its rear seats are folded flat, the interior space is 52.3 cubic feet.
